Redwoods National Park Elopement
Erica & Michael’s Redwoods Elopement was different.
It is not often that a couple knows exactly the type of experience and elopement day they are envisioning and all the details that come with it. It felt so refreshing to hear someone who undoubtedly chose to elope by themselves.
If you are looking to elope in redwoods, you will love the details in the Best Places To Elope In California blogs post! Also if you are looking for a Redwoods Elopement Photographer, check out my Redwoods Elopement Packages!
Getting Ready at Ocean View Airbnb in Brookings Oregon
We started the day getting ready at this gorgeous Airbnb which looks over the Southern Oregon coast in Brookings Oregon. You could hear the waves crashing from inside and it was absolutely peaceful. It truly felt like it was their world and I was just living in it (it was the sweetest love scene!). They made breakfast in their robes, dancing, laughing, and just soaking up every minute, getting excited for their day.
We love the fact that they wanted to help each other get ready, surprise each other with a first look and gift exchanges. We could have spent hours just hanging out and soaking up the beautiful foggy Oregon weather.
Handpicked Redwoods Elopement Ceremony Location
We headed out to the Redwoods National Park for their ceremony. We chatted during our planning about ceremony location and Erica & Michael decided that they wanted to spontaneously hand pick their ceremony location on their special day. It was so fun that we all got to explore the trails for the first time and share the experience together.
They chose this natural-made platform surrounded by ferns and enormous redwood trees. It. was. Movie-like.
I had the opportunity to officiate (yes I also can also officiate your elopement!) their beautiful ceremony and felt so honored to be a part of something so beautiful! As they read each other their vows, the sun peeked through where they were standing. I couldn’t believe I was capturing this amazing, magical, and captivating moment.
Newlywed Portraits at Redwoods & Southern Oregon Coast
After the ceremony, we explored more of the beauty in the Redwoods National Park and I can honestly say we could have stayed there all day. We had to tell ourselves that we have to head out to catch the sunset at the Southern Oregon Coast and I remember saying “just one more!”
The way the sun was coming through the trees creating these hazy rays was a sight I would never forget!
We went back to the Southern Oregon Coast and hiked this beautiful beach (fairytale-like) and it was none of this world. I am absolutely in love with the Southern Oregon Coast because there’s something so different about this specific place.
Candlelit Reception for the two at the Airbnb
After the hike, we headed back to the Airbnb in Brookings Oregon to be welcomed by a gorgeous picnic setup by Poppy Picnics Co. We were taken by how they transformed the deck. Their picnic even came with a make your own mimosa cart!! They danced, sang, and celebrated the night surrounded by candles and delicious food. Just capturing their joyful moments made all of us so proud to help them bring their dream day to a reality. I honestly couldn’t have imagined it any other way.
