Kassie & Travis' Big Sur Lodge & Garrapata State Park Elopement
Kassie and Travis were looking for a location where all of their families could stay in one location and also have a ceremony site with the redwoods. With all of this in mind, a Big Sur Lodge elopement came to mind (with stunning Garrapata State Park elopement portraits afterwards!). Big Sur Lodge was the perfect location with everything they were looking for. It has cabins, camping, and a venue right in the heart of Pfeiffer State Park. Plus, they are dog-friendly!
Before their Big Sur Lodge elopement ceremony, Kassie and Travis shared a private first look, which was so special. They had T’s grandfather officiate their ceremony, and I loved how they included their family in their special day. An Intimate Big Sur Lodge Elopement Ceremony
K + T’s Big Sur Lodge elopement ceremony was stunning. Being surrounded by the California redwoods felt so peaceful and was perfect for an intimate and romantic ceremony. There was so much love surrounding these two throughout the entire day, and they also had the cutest ceremony setup! After their ceremony, everyone celebrated with champagne!
After the champagne celebrations, we then headed off to take portraits around Big Sur Lodge and in the surrounding redwoods, and the light was so magical! After that, we took a quick lunch/snack break to refuel our bodies before heading out to the coast for more portraits!

After the ceremony and champagne celebrations, we headed out to the coast for Kassie and Travis’ Garrapata State Park elopement portraits. I love how Big Sur can be sunny and/or foggy at any given moment! We had a moody, foggy vibe with the sun coming in and out, which really allowed us to get the best of both worlds!
K & T shared their private vows with the sounds of the ocean. It was so special to see huge waves crashing in the background as they shared their love to one another. After that, we ended the day with some dreamy lantern portraits and a beautiful purple sunset!
