Why I love elopements & intimate weddings

If you know me, you know I’m a lover of the show The Office. Michael Scott said, “Love is the water of life, drink deeply.” Michael has the right idea. Love is an intimate and very special thing.  If you’ve been grappling with the idea of eloping or having an intimate wedding, this may be what you need to hear:

My Photography Journey.

UP UNTIL RECENTLY, I’VE BEEN WORKING AT A PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO FOR 6 YEARS AND ALWAYS DREAMT OF HAVING MY OWN PHOTOGRAPHY BUSINESS!

I didn’t quite have confidence to run it myself and I always told myself ‘its a risk! how do you know you will not fail?’ After having our son, Don and I realized it was time to branch out and we literally dropped everything to start our own photography business. It was hard at first, but with hard work and with our amazing supporting clients (who are now our friends!), we haven’t been happier with what we do!

Working at the photography studio gave me a lot of experience, technique and skills to basically make anybody laugh while capturing them in the best lighting! It also made me realize, it is not all about the perfect pose. I mean I love it when everybody is looking at the camera smiling, but I want it to be unintentional while having a blast. Having a child got me understanding how life can pass by in a blink of an eye and it gives me pure joy to go back to see all of it (was tearing up seeing my son’s birth photo before typing this).

My Approach

Although each elopement and intimate wedding is unique, I strive to apply my approach for every experience.

So much more than a photographer

What I bring to the table

Being an elopement photographer for the last 3 years has taught me so much. Through my experiences, I have learned what to do, what not to do, and how to be better prepared, so you can get married with a peace of mind and just focus on the best day of your life.

COUNT ON ME...

to be more than just your photographer. I will guide you, support your vision, and share my knowledge with you.

COUNT ON ME...

to know my way around a national park and have knowledge about hiking gears and attire. Don’t worry, I will guide you and share all about the right attire you need to wear/ bring at your elopement location.

Count on me...

to have a backup plan. Elopements and intimate weddings are out in nature and don’t have an awning or inside option, in case unexpected weather occurs. I will have a plan A, B and plan C to help you stay at ease on your wedding day.
